Jewelry repair software
An envelope in a drawer and a note in a spreadsheet is not a repair system. PIRO Retail tracks every job from counter intake to pickup - with the customer, the item, the technician, the status, the materials and the balance all in one place.
The problem
Most point-of-sale software can ring up a repair. Very few can tell you what happened to it afterwards. When the ticket lives on paper and the status lives in someone’s head, your team becomes the tracking system.
“Where is this repair?”
The answer should not depend on who happens to be working today.
“Did we quote this?”
Quote, deposit, approval and final balance belong on the same ticket.
“Was the customer called?”
Follow-up should be a status change, not a sticky note.
Intake to pickup
Every step below happens inside PIRO Retail - no second system, no re-keying.
Step 01
Take the job in while the customer is still in front of you: item description, photos, metal and stone details, the work requested, the quoted price, the deposit and a realistic due date. The ticket is attached to the customer record, so their history travels with the job.
Step 02
Route the job to an in-house jeweler or an outside trade shop. Everyone sees what is theirs, what is due first and what is waiting on parts, stones or customer approval.
Step 03
Jobs move through the statuses your shop actually uses - received, at the bench, waiting on parts, polishing, QC, ready. Materials pulled for the job come out of stock, so a stone is never counted twice.
Step 04
Send updates when the work is approved, delayed or ready for pickup, instead of leaving your team to field "is it done yet?" phone calls.
Step 05
The balance, the deposit already taken and any additional work are all on the ticket, so pickup is a normal sale at the same point of sale - with the full job history saved against the customer.
What you get
Open jobs, their owners and their due dates sit on one list. A shop that can see next week’s pressure today can move work, call a customer early or bring in help - instead of apologising after the fact.
Because repairs use the same inventory as the showcase, a job that needs a specific stone or finding shows that requirement up front rather than stalling at the bench.
Why it matters
Anyone at the counter can answer "where is my ring?" in seconds, without walking to the bench or calling the owner.
Open jobs and due dates are visible as a list, so the shop sees pressure building before a customer has to complain.
Service work is measured like any other part of the business: volume, turnaround, technician load and margin.
Repairs rarely travel alone. The same intake screen handles custom and special orders, and the materials a job consumes come straight out of jewelry inventory. Pricing for the seats your bench needs is on the pricing page.
Questions
It is part of PIRO Retail. Repairs are taken in at the same point of sale as a retail sale, and the job, the customer and the payment stay connected throughout.
Yes. Jobs can be assigned to outside vendors as well as in-house jewelers, with their own turnaround expectations and status updates.
Yes. Parts, findings, metals and stones used on a job are pulled from the same live stock the showcase and Shopify use.
Status changes can trigger customer notifications, so the ready-for-pickup message does not depend on someone remembering.
